ISL Education Lending is looking for an internal audit manager to support the audit function for the company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Aspire Resources Inc. The internal audit manager interacts with external auditors and reviewers, performs or coordinates various validation efforts over loan servicing, and supports processes and other corporate policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
The qualified candidate will:
- Serve as a liaison between external auditors/reviewers and ISL and ARI business units for scheduling independent audits, assessments and reviews. This includes such activities as developing, maintaining and publishing an event calendar; participating in all entrance and exit meetings; delivering and distributing audit reports; and facilitating corporate responses.
- Administer the prepared by client (PBC) request process, to include:
- Requesting and obtaining PBC lists from outside auditors and reviewers.
- Analyzing PBC lists to validate examination scope applicability.
- Reviewing PBC turnaround times and, if applicable, negotiating directly with the outside party to establish reasonable delivery timeframes.
- Timely distribution of PBC list items to applicable internal business units, including communicating clear and reasonable timeframes for support information generation.
- Reviewing support information received from business units prior to release to outside party to ensure data integrity and validity.
- Organizing and tracking PBC list progress against expected timeframes, including documentation of delivery of information to outside parties.
- Maintaining documentation of engagement results and findings.
- Coordinate the completion of client questionnaires. This includes client questionnaires that might lead to or are in advance of client audit or review examinations and conclusions about compliance with contractual or legal responsibilities surrounding loan servicing relationships.
- Perform internal reviews (audits) and self-assessments, including:
- Assisting in the annual planning process.
- Planning and preparing individual internal reviews, including scope determination, internal PBC list generation, event calendar and communication to applicable business units.
- Assist with documentation of internal control environment. This includes working with business units to understand and document controls through process workflow diagrams and narratives.
- Provide assistance and guidance to internal business units in completing annual and ongoing risk assessments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
- Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
- Familiarity with U.S. auditing standards.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks.
Knowledge and experience with loan originators and loan servicers is a plus.
An associate degree or higher in accounting, finance or related field preferred.

- Occasionally work variable hours as required.
